The Med-Design Corporation, a leader in the design and development of safety-engineered needle products for medical use, has announced an agreement with Owens-Illinois (O-I) for O-I to manufacture Med-Design's Safety Dental Pre-filled Cartridge Injector.

Under terms of the agreement, Med-Design retains the opportunity to negotiate with additional third-party partners for the sales and distribution rights to the Safety Dental Pre-filled Cartridge Injector.

In September 2001, Med-Design announced its first OEM manufacturing agreement with O-I. The agreement stipulated that Med-Design provide its Safety Pre-filled Cartridge Injector to potential pharmaceutical partners as part of a previously signed co-promotion agreement with Abbott Laboratories.
