Company involved with breast cancer awareness efforts

September 18, 2007

MELVILLE, New York--Henry Schein, Inc., a distributor of health-care products and services to office-based practitioners in the combined North American and European markets, is partnering with the American Cancer Society to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October by rolling out its second annual "Think Pink" program.

The effort will give Henry Schein's customers an opportunity to join in the fight against breast cancer.

To drive awareness of breast cancer and further the mission of the American Cancer Society, Henry Schein will offer customers the opportunity to purchase a special selection of "Pink" dental and medical items, created in partnership with several manufacturers. A portion of the proceeds sales of these items during the months of October and November will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

"At Henry Schein, we are pleased to support a number of causes that are of importance to our customers, and clearly breast cancer awareness is one of them," said James Breslawski, president and chief operating officer for Henry Schein. "Our annual 'Think Pink' program is an innovative way in which our customers and supplier partners can participate directly and support the work of the American Cancer Society as they continue to address this important public health issue."
